We Are The Third Owner Of This Remarkable Guitar- We Purchased It From A Collector Who Bought It From The Original Owner In The 1970’s.

Very Rare Original Nickel Parts Including The Grover Imperials And The New Yorker Tailpiece Were Custom Ordered By The Original Owner, Who Also Had The Names Of His Nephews “Buster And Frankie” Inlaid By D’Angelico At The 15th Fret Marker.

As Unbelievable As The Condition Of This Guitar Is, The Way It Sounds Is Even More Incredible. Arguably THE Loudest and Fullest D’Angelico We’ve Played Or Owned (We Currently Own 7 And Have Played Dozens Over The Years...).

Set Up With .13 Gauge Nickel Roundwounds, The Action Is Low And The Neck Is Perfectly Straight, With No Buzzing, Dead Spots, Or Issues.

The One Piece Neck Features A Very Full Chunky 50’s “C” Shape Neck Contour (Like A ‘58 Gibson) And Large Original Frets In Perfect Condition That Make Playing This Guitar Effortless.

All Parts Are Completely Original Except For A Correct Replacement Pickguard Custom Made By Cris Mirabella At Mirabella Guitars (The Foremost Restorer Of Original D’Angelico Guitars).

At One Time A DeArmond Pickup Was Installed On Side of The Neck Cantilever. It Was Removed And Two Small Screw Holes Remain There (See Photos). Another DeArmond Could Easily Be Installed Again There And The Guitar Electrified If Desired.

Comes With The Original Brown Lifton Case Shown In The Photos That Is In Beautiful Condition.

This Museum-Quality D’Angelico Is Without A Doubt The Finest Looking, Sounding, And Playing Original New Yorker We Have Ever Seen And Is Quite Possibly The Nicest One Anyone Will Ever See.
